18th Annual Dehydrator
July 26, 2008
The Dehydrator bicycle ride and race is an annual event hosted by the Duncan Band Boosters and the Duncan Bicycle Club. This event is one of the primary fundraisers for the Duncan Public Schools Band program. Last year nearly 500 riders participated in the Dehydrator.
General Info
When: Saturday July 26, 2008
Where: All rides and races start at the Simmons Center located at 800 Chisholm Trail Parkway, Duncan Oklahoma.
Participants will be staged at the north parking lot. A pace car will lead the racers to the race course at 8:00 a.m. All races will have separate standing starts. The recreational riders will start on their respective courses at 8:05 a.m.
Entry Fee: $20 per person, $35 per tandem team, non-refundable. Pre-registration closes Tuesday, July
22. A $5 late fee will be assessed on all subsequent entries.
Entry fee includes:
- FREE t-shirt and water bottle go to the first 400 entries.
- FREE meal after the race/ride
- FREE access to the Simmons Center facilities after the race/ride
Registration:
1. You may print the registration
form and mail it in.
OR
2. You may register on-line at The Dehydrator event page at Active.com until the day before the event.
OR
3. You may register in person from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. the day before the event or from 6:30 a.m.- 8 a.m. the day of the event.
Packet Pick up: Packets can be picked up at the Simmons Center
on Friday July 25th from 6 - 9 p.m. or starting at 6:30 a.m. the day of the event.
Free meal and Simmons Center available after the ride/race: After you have finished the ride / race use your participant number to receive a free meal and to enjoy the use of the Simmons Center’s fabulous recreational facilities. Extra meals may be purchased for a small fee, and towels are available for rent at the Simmons Center for 50 cents. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises.
Massages: Massages will also be available at the Simmons Center after the race courtesy of Moore Massage Therapy. For a $5 donation to the band you will receive a basic massage. For donations of $10 or more you will receive a more complete massage.
