Horace Mann Mission Statement

In his final address before his death Horace Mann, who has been called the father of the American free public school (and for whom our school is named), made the following statement: "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity."

It is our mission here at Horace Mann Elementary School to provide an academically focused, motivating environment in which each student may experience and apply skills needed to be victorious in their human endeavors.  Our mission is reflected in the school theme:

"Our victories are for humanity."
