DHS Bands try to provide its students with as many performance venues as possible. Below are the four bands we currently have operating in Duncan Public Schools. There is a brief description of each band. For more information, click on the name of the band.

Marching Band
The DHS Marching Band is most active during the fall semester. They support the district by performing at Football games throughout the season. Also, the band travels to multiple marching contests each season where they compete against other bands. They have an excellent tradition of high placement in these competitions. The Marching Band also supports the Duncan Community by marching in two annual parades through downtown Duncan.
Concert Band
The DHS Concert Band starts up at the conclusion of marching season in November. They prepare music for three concerts annually. First, they present a Winter Concert in December. Then, they start preparing music for state concert band contests, where the band has consistently received superior ratings. The Concert Band usually performs a Pre-Contest Concert for the community. Finally, the Band performs a spring concert each year at the Duncan High School Auditorium.
Jazz Band
The DHS Jazz Band is an auditioned group that starts meeting in early November. For the Winter months the group meets after school two days a week for an hour each. Once the spring semester starts however, the group switches their meeting time to before school three days a week. This group performs at DHS Band Concerts as well as going to the SWOSU Jazz Festival.
Basketball Band
The DHS Basketball Band , The Screamin' Demons, is made up of all DHS Band members. The Students are assigned to one of two groups that support our athletic department by playing for both men's and women's games.

Band Council
The DHS Bands are proud of our student elected leadership team, the Band Council. These students provide critical input and service to the DHS Bands throughout the year. Below is a list of this years Officers.
