    This will be my 33rd year as an educator for Duncan Public Schools and my seventh year as principal of Mark Twain Elementary School.  I am celebrating another year of doing what I love to do  I am a teacher!  Principal came from the phrase, "principal teacher."  In days past, the principal teacher in the building was that teacher who took a leadership role and other teachers followed his or her model. Today we have shortened that title to principal.  My job as principal is to lead students, parents, teachers, and the community to their highest levels of achievement.  Our ultimate goal is to work together to be the very best citizens we can be in our democracy.  It's a job that I can't do alone, it takes everyone!
