Discipline Plan for Pre-K
Before any discipline action is taken, the children will first understand what behavior is expected of them, and directions will be clearly given and repeated as needed. Potential discipline problems can be avoided by establishing class and campus expectations.
Our class and campus expectations are:
Use your listening ears.
We have friendly and helping hands.
Use kind words and quiet voices.
Use walking feet in the class and hallways.
The consequences for not following the expectations are as follows:
Discipline is an ongoing process that involves guiding the child to appropriate behaviors and choices. The use of positive reinforcement, modeling, redirection, and praise are all effective ways to help the child in this process.
